GE Global Research Center Redesign
Relocating IT services from the basement to a centrally located space allowed employees to get the assistance to be productive, learn and grow.

For GE’s Global Research Center in Niskayuna, IT support was hidden away behind badge accessed doors or at a very small, uninviting service corner. The existing space could not handle employee volume and had no way to track services or satisfaction.
We designed a centralized IT Lounge space which uses a GE software platform to track service times and satisfaction. In addition to the highly skilled digital experts assisting with IT needs, the setting also provides peripheral vending machines, phone charging stations and collaboration hubs.
The redesigned hub services hundreds of employees per month with nearly perfect customer satisfaction scores. It's been the digital home base for IT support at this GE site for 4+ years.
